Charly Ivers was born with the ability to fly. As a registered flyer she is paid to make express mail deliveries. Aside from that Charly is a typical college student, studying to be a veterinarian and hanging out with her friends after class. But her placid life is interrupted when the government sends her to Elmtree Farm to help train a Pegasus named Tam O Shanter. Charly discovers Tam has other special talents which no artificial device can duplicate. And those talents make Tam and Charly targets of a mysterious and sinister figure who believes Tam is the key to unlocking a fabulous treasure-and a terrible weapon. To thwart his plan Tam and Charly must travel to an isolated colony on the other side of the world, and to a long hidden city where they will confront their adversary. And there Charly must also battle to liberate Tam from an ancient curse.
