ATON"s is certainly one of the oldest active Italian groups, given that it was created in 1977 ! Twenty-five years and numerous albums later ("H" was recorded in 1985, followed by "A.L. 1984" and "Caccia Grossa" in 1989, "Doctor Faust" was issued in 1993 and "Klein E Wagner" in 1995), the musicians decided to stop. Their musical will was then issued "Capolinea". It was recorded between 1997 and 2000 by their last line-up: Pietro RATTO (Keyboards, guitar & vocals), Vito FRALLONARDO (Bass) and the young prodigy Riccardo LOMBARDO (Drums), who has already won numerous prizes. Throughout the years, ATON"S could create a truly personal music, a synthesis of British prog and neo Progressive with Italian pop. The tracks are concise and energetic, with an agressive guitar, some keyboards that create the structure of the tracks, some good vocals and an excellent rhythm section. Talent and sincerity were always present in this band. They should be respected for that...
