Cowboy Jose
Cowboy JosŽ and his trusty caballo, Feo, happily spend their days riding the range together. Then one day JosŽ spots pretty Rosita and is struck with love at first sight. The trouble is, this se– orita only dates rich cowboys and JosŽ"s pockets are empty- vac’os! Feo talks JosŽ into entering the rodeo and when he wins, Rosita expects to help spend his dinero. But JosŽ knows the true meaning of friendship and calls "ÁAdi—s!" to Rosita. Kids will giggle as they enjoy Susan Elya"s clever verse, which Kirkus called "a charming way to introduce Spanish to English speakers," and Tim Raglin"s hilarious illustrations that Booklist says "are electric with fun."
