During the informal chatter over designer coffee, Dr. K"s ache to spread hope for sexually abused six-year-old Kelly and her classmates surfaced, then incubated when she began e-mailing her daily class notes to Ann half a country away. Dr. K"s passion for teaching, spiced with her sense of fun, is fueled by the children"s innate capacity for finding joy in their various afflictions.
