Hema"s popular "Townsville Cairns Cooktown" map has received the ultimate facelift, and a new name: "Tropical North Queensland". The new version now contains GPS surveyed roads and tracks, as well as plenty of helpful information on all the things to see and do while you"re in the area. The text was compiled in conjunction with Denis O"Byrne, a noted author of travel articles in many national publications, and Rob van Driesum, who spent many years with Lonely Planet. There is still handy information on the region"s spectacular Wet Tropics World Heritage Area from the Wet Tropics Management Authority. While still covering the key locations of Townsville, Cairns and Cooktown, the new map"s coverage has been expanded slightly to include areas north of Cooktown across to Lakefield National Park. This map is a great companion product to Hema"s new "Tropical North Queensland Atlas and Guide". Its features include: GPS surveyed roads and tracks; information on what to see and do; National Parks and Wet Tropics areas; points of interest; camping areas; and 24-hour fuel locations.
