Hebrides: A Natural Tapestry
This work spans the natural and human history of the Hebrides. Created from "The Hebrides - a Natural History", this volume - the second in a trilogy - covers the entire history of the islands, from the sea-beds to the mountains. Plant and animal communities are studied on a systematic level, as are th geology and climate. The book is a complete ecological profile of the archipelago. Although each work within the trilogy complements the other two, they each stand as individual volumes.
