"Glass Jar" is the audacious opus that opens Eye Contact. Beginning with Takahiro Imamura s brief declaration, "I can hear everything. It s everything time," the track slowly reveals itself over the course of eleven minutes. Arguably an ambitious first move, it s a bold statement of intent. "MindKilla", on the other hand, is a relatively succinct five-minute anthem that exhibits Gang Gang Dance at their melodic best. Here, Lizzi Bougatsos vocals take centre stage; mixing lyrics borrowed from "Hush Little Baby", Bougatsos delivery lends a deeply sinister edge to the traditional.
