Henry Muselle, small-town history teacher, is searching for a treasure buried by his great grandfather nine generations ago, during the French-Indian War. He teams up with a group of high school science students who have found a gold precipitate in a water pollution study. Together, they uncover clues using modern research techniques combined with old-fashioned leg-work. Standing in their way is Fred Johnson. His construction company is building the new highway, and he"s already buried evidence of wetlands. Now he"ll do anything - including murder - to make sure a gold rush doesn"t keep him from earning a $13 million bonus.
