The 3B Scientific H20/4 life-size human female bony pelvis model is used for anatomical study of pelvic ligaments, vessels, nerves, muscles, and organs, and dissembles into six parts for effective demonstration. The model presents the whole pelvic floor, with partially or completely removable midsagitally-sectioned organs for individual examination, including the external anal and urethral sphincters, the deep and superficial transverse perineal and bulbospongiosus, the rectum, the uterus with fallopian tubes, the ovaries, and the vagina. The model’s right half displays the common iliac artery, the external and internal artery, the common and external iliac vein, and features the right sacral plexus, and right sciatic and pudendal nerves for detailed inspection. The H20/4 depicts the following ligaments for additional detail: inguinal, sacrotuberous, sacrospinous, anterior sacroiliac, iliolumbar, anterior longitudinal, interosseous sacroiliac, posterior sacroiliac, and obturator. Anatomical models are typically used as education aids in medical and scientific classrooms and office settings.The H20/4 includes the following anatomical structures: two hip bones, the pubic symphysis, the sacrum and the coccyx, and the fifth lumbar vertebra with intervertebral disc. The model is midsagitally sectioned through the fifth lumbar vertebra, the sacrum, and the coccyx, allowing both halves of the pelvis to be disassembled for viewing a part of the cauda equina in the vertebral canal. The left half of the fifth lumbar vertebral body is removable.The H20/4 is made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plastic, which is corrosion resistant, lightweight, and has high strength. PVC resists reactions with acids, gasoline, alcohol, and hydrocarbons. The model measures 7.5 x 10.6 x 7.5 inches/19.0 x 27.0 x 19.0cm (H x W x D).
