Recorded and mixed by famed reggae engineer Jim Fox of Lion & Fox Studios, Taking Off Tomorrow is Jah Works’ first crossover album. Often dubbed “the international album” after one of it’s strongest cuts, “International”, TOT has a worldwide appeal. While still maintaining a strong reggae feel both in song and mix, a solid half of the album explores reggae/dancehall blends with r&b and pop. Classic JW lover’s rock (“Shadow“, “Thank Her“, “One Loving Nite“) stand alongside party tunes (“International”, “Night Like This”, “More + More”) and consciousness (“Come Together“). Also included is the infamous weed-anthem “Serious Litigation“, a dancehall track that is a has taken on classic folk song status.
