This collection of essays in Irish concerns transmission in its widest sense, including poetry and prose texts, music and song, linguistics and oral narrative. It offers the reader particular insights into the concept of tradition in its widest sense as well as into the manner in which tradition is appropriated and refashioned. Published under the title "Sealbhu an Traidsiuin", it consists of papers first presented at a one-day international conference hosted in University College Dublin in May 2011.
