This book describes the Java(tm) Plug-in component of the Java 2 Platform for the Solaris(tm) operating environment. This book contains information that is useful to applet developers and web site managers who host applets on their Web pages. The Java Plug-in component is an add-on product for Netscape Navigator(tm) and Netscape(tm) Communicator web browsers. This component enables Java applets components to run on the latest version of the Java Runtime Environment rather than the default Java Runtime Environment that ships with the browser.
