Camille Pissarro. With the Eyes of an Impressionist Camille Pissarro (1830–1903) was considered by his artist-friends to be “the first Impressionist.” His graphic art translates the ideas of these painters on the cusp of Modernism into sensitive and richly varied compositions. In this way, the catalogue of the Picasso-Museum in Munster explores a forgotten aspect of the innovations of Impressionism.
