A welcome female addition to the usual boys club of Electronic producers, Bristol based musician, producer and visual artist Kayla Painter has spent the last few years carving a solid reputation herself around Bristol and the South West with her distinctive, layered soundscapes and compositions. Heavily influenced by Bristol"s legendary bass heritage, and with echoes of Burial, Nicolas Jaar, Mount Kimbie and Four Tet, Kayla joined the ranks of London based Electronic music label Bit-Phalanx in early 2013 and re-issued a revised edition of her self-titled, self-released 2012 debut EP in August 2013. Bit-Phalanx proudly releases Kayla"s brand new EP of all new material entitled "A Very New Everything". Her first full commercial release, the EP will be released as a 6 track digital download as well as a deluxe CD edition with expanded artwork and an exclusive 7th bonus track, "Ga Ga".
