This is a celebration of the music from Rio De Janeiro infusing electronica, samba and funk. Mamond was conceived by Joe Davis and Roc Hunter and loaded with a lap top and various other tools, flew to Rio and employed some of the finest musicians, many of whom were great friends with the label. One key person was Ivan of Azymuth who helped coordinate many of the songs and arrangements for the album. All the material was layed down during intensive recording sessions in Copacobana. The tapes were taken back to London to be mixed. This took almost a year until completion. Many songs feature artists like vocalist Gabriella, on Paradise and Noite De Verao and Cidinho Moreira on percussion. Already tracks like Que Coisa So have been released on single and created a buzz, so finally we are proud to bring you this magical album.
