"I found it really inspiring to read as it has shown me that no matter what happens in your life you can use it to change things for the better. This book touched me and I know it will touch others of all ages. It"s well worth reading." -Lauren King, TMH Telemedia Services Ltd "I went to your website and read the chapter of your book, it was very moving. I pray God will use your testimony to bring others to learn about forgiveness."
-Ray and Vi "I believe that it is a wonderful thing that you are presently doing a lot of work around this particular issue of child abuse because it affected you. It would be great and of immeasurable value if you are able to raise awareness of child abuse, how the government, social workers and teachers can easily spot the signs of it, and most important of all, raising awareness among young people and children, especially of African and Caribbean descent, on how they can seek for help if they find themselves in this situation, rather than remaining trapped as you were in your own case." -Simon Owoade Book Synopsis: A heart wrenching memoir of a woman trying to overcome the emotional, physical and psychological trauma of childhood abuse. Author Ola Taiwo was born to a young family in London in 1964. She was the first child of a young married Nigerian couple who placed her in foster care in order to focus on their jobs and studies. Her earliest childhood memories were pleasant recollections of life with her foster care family. When Ola became five years old, her parents took her out of foster care to live with them. Her memories of her biological mother were of a cruel and wicked woman. She faced a horrific life with her parents from the time she was five years old until she was twelve-her parents successfully concealed her traumatic abuse from Social Services. For Ola, this was seven years of torture, but a decision to forgive her mother after twenty-six years finally released her from the hurt and pain of her tormented past, and put her on a path of healing. A truly captivating story of forgiveness. Author Bio: ABOUT THE AUTHOR- Ola Lydia Taiwo is a practicing Chartered Scientist who designs and writes courses.
