It has been admirably said, "that Translation in itself is a problem, how, two languages being given, the nearest approximation may be made in the second to the expression of ideas already conveyed through the medium of the first. My object then, in the present work, is to assist two classes of Students: those to whom the text itself of the Ethics presents difficulties, and those who may need an interpreter of its meaning.
