To speak of David Cavazos is to speak of voice, style, quality, and a sensuality that reflects itself in the faces of the women in the audience that are captivated by his voice and soulful baby blues. Rarely do you find a musician who is born with the singular talent to be a star, and to convey their feelings in a song to the audience. That is the case with David Cavazos. David was always a peculiar boy. In his native Monterrey, he would spend Saturdays listening to CRI-CRI and at the same time was fascinated listening to the voice of Eugenia Leòn. He would listen to current music and older classics, all of which gave him the musical exposure that would become his foundation as a singer-songwriter. Having a family full of affection and security, David was encouraged to develop his musical preferences early by learning music appreciation, vocal technique, and taking singing lessons. This learning continues today and according to David, will never finish. In a search for his own musical voice at the age of 18, David began to compose the type of music that attracted him. With colors of pop music, Jazz, R&B, Bossa Nova and Bolero, this cool kid found the support of Warner Music, to develop his career as a singer-songwriter.
