Shyllock and 3.the poem Hebrew Medoldies This book is illustrated with the lithographs of Max Liebermann(1847-1935), one of of the most prominent turn-of-the-century European painters. He designed this cycle of drawings for the 1923 bibliophile edition of The Rabbi of Bacherach.It is considered an outstandingexample of book illustration.
