Element of Time

As I approached the bus stop over on the corner, a gentleman in his early thirties and his nine-year-old son were seated on the bus stop bench. When I went to sit down, the little boy seemed to be looking at me. I sat down to the boy’s right and took out my monitor, switching it on . . . . The boy was pointing at me. “Who are you pointing at, son? There’s nobody there.” With my mouth wide open with surprise, I looked at the boy and said, “Your dad can’t see me, but you do, don’t you? Don’t answer. Just nod your head yes or no.” He nodded his head up and down, not once, but a few times. I became flustered. I hadn’t been confronted before—especially by a child. As I was thinking about what to do, the father was dragging his son up the steps on a different bus that had just arrived. “Will I see you again?” yelled the boy. It was my turn to nod my head up and down, not once, but a few times. ----------- Futuristic storytelling that goes back and forth in time. The main character Bree is instrumental in changing lives and loves with a computer that controls the element of time. Both adventurous and inspirational with Seattle as the main backdrop.
