Fairy Tales From The Swedish

FAIRY TALES FROM THE SWEDISH BARON G. DJURKLOU. This book contains and interesting and characteristic collection of Swedish Folk and Fairy Tales. They are written in the dialect of the Swedish peasantry and therefore have presented difficulties in the wy of translation into other languages. In this present English version the translator has tried to retain as far as possible the humourous and colloquial style of the original. The book is delightfully illustrated by two well-known Norwegian artists, and the frontispiece is by Carl Larsson, the prince of Swedish illustrators. This book was first published in 1901. Many of the earliest books, particularly those dating back to the 1900s and before, are now extremely scarce and increasingly expensive. We are republishing these classic works in affordable, high quality, modern editions, using the original text and artwork.
