A novel based on the case against the plant manager Leo Frank who was accused of raping and killing a black woman-worker, and was sentenced to all-life in prison without any serious investigation in Atlanta in 1913. The jury was biased against Jews and delivered its verdict without any deliberation or proof of his guilt.
