This is a collection of the letters of the Zhernakov family, who were peasants living in Sarapul Uezd, Udmurt Region of Russia, located on the right bank of the Kama River, at the end of the 19th century. These letters are the biggest collection of its kind, and include a very typical pattern of peasant writing in pre-revolutionary Russia. They are provided with extensive comments. (1.795 kg.)
