This book is about the twisted history of relations between the best known soviet writer A.I Solzhenitsyn, the author of the world famous GULAG, and the soviet and post-soviet media. The monograph includes secret documents of the TsK CPSUU and the KGB, samizdat of the soviet period, publications abroad ("tamizdat"). The book is divided into three chapters: life of Solzhenitsyn before exile, exile, and return to Russia.
