DJ Krust has often professed not to have an overt thought process as he goes into a mix; he has said he doesn"t enjoy thinking too much. He is, by self-definition, a creature of now. Which explains why this collection, and subsequent mix, is such a varied-yet-symmetrical piece of work. From the softer vocal strains of Mine"s "Reel Time" straight into the self-produced black-hole darkness of his own "Freak Show," Krust creates edgy and attractive chaos while dropping in many classics along the way (his "Kloakin Device" remains one of the greatest slices of drum & bass in many a year).
