Following their doubleplusgood debut EP, 2006 s As Above, So Below, Asheville, NC s tHE POLES return with Twelve Winds, their first full-length. Original bass player Eli Wengerd has been replaced by former Archers of Loaf/Band of Horses bass man, Matt Gentling. Recorded in a cabin in Franklin, NC with Dan Dixon (Dropsonic), the band has expanded on its dark and moody rock. Singer/guitarist Todd Lemiesz s raspy vocals perfectly compliment each song and truly gives tHE POLES their unique sound. Think Califone meets ISIS. The band is planning to tour the Southeast and beyond in April & May.
