Formed from the ashes of tartan tearaways Nyah Fearties, Junkman"s choir second album brings back the story telling tradition in bite sized 3 minute chunks. It"s difficult to label Junkman"s choir but imagine a melting pot that takes in the influence of the Pogues, Tom Waits a touch of The Clash (and later Strummer as well), maybe some Paul Weller while tiny shades of Nick Cave hover in the background and that gives you grounding as to what Junkman"s choir are about. Nyah fearties were an industrial acoustic duo whose live shows consisted of junk percussion acoustic bass, ganjo (cross between guitar an banjo) and foot stompin they were likened to cross between the Pogues and Test Deparment, a band Kurt Cobain once described as real Scottish punk.
