Frankie Starr was a country singer who learned his trade in his thirties and settled in Phoenix. His first recordings he made in 1950 for 4-Star, then worked for Rangeland, Decca, Baron, Sims and other small labels. Starr was also the man who introduced Marty Robbins to the world; and this set is rounded off by his very first recordings, which Marty 1948 recording for Frankie: "Our Love Is At An End", "For A Lifetime", "I"ve Lost My Love And You" and "I Want Somebody To Love".
