Namu and the Legend of the Moon
Long ago, there was a village surrounded by a very high mountain, and no stars or moon shone at night. The villagers did not know why the moon did not glow at night, but once it became dark, they had to stay in their homes near the fire for warmth and light. This fanciful children’s tale tells the story of Namu, a young boy with a special power who was found as an abandoned baby. As he grows older, he becomes curious about why the moon never shines at night. He is convinced that if he goes to the top of the very high mountain and builds a fire, the moon will be able to find his village and shed its light for the benefit of the residents. However, the chief’s jealous son is plotting to steal Namu’s magic. Who will succeed? And where did Namu really come from – this world, or another?
