I am a world percussionist who specializes in frame drums and Middle Eastern percussion. My musical voice has developed through relationships and collaborations with musicians such as master drummer Glen Velez, Philip Glass, Branford Marsalis, Yo-Yo Ma, Middle Eastern sensation Marcel Khalife and kora virtuoso Foday Musa Suso. "Silk Thread" is a culmination of my life’s musical experiences including folk, jazz, pop and classical chamber music. The guest musicians on "Silk Thread" - Glen Velez, Foday Musa Suso, and Pandit Samir Chatterjee to name just a few, come from various backgrounds and cultures including India, Africa, the Americas, Australia and the Mediterranean.
