This book describes the floating-point environment supported by software and hardware on SPARC[tm] platforms running the Solaris[tm] operating environment. This book discusses certain aspects of the IEEE Standard for Binary Floating-Point Arithmetic, the math libraries provided with the Solaris[tm] operating environment and Sun[tm] ONE Studio compilers, and exceptions and exception handling. Fortran 95 examples and ANSI C examples are provided.
