When MOTT THE HOOPLE folded on 14th December 1974 it left OVEREND WATTS, DALE GRIFFIN and MORGAN FISHER with a not too pretty state of affairs. Something had to be done. Debts were mounting but they no longer had a record deal. WATTS set to work writing songs. So MOTT as they had now become went into the studio to record some of Watts songs with Watts himself on vocals.Now with a deal and some songs they needed two extra members to complete the line up- a lead vocalist and guitar player.Tracks 8-12 are actual audition tapes of NIGEL BENJAMIN and RAY MAJORS.
