This group formed in 1996 as an instrumental side project led by Jimmy Bower and Joe Lacaze of the New Orleans sludge metal group Eyehategod, and also included members of fellow Big Easy metal units Crowbar and Down. The goal was to separate the pummeling nihilistic dirge of Eyehategod and create an outlet for the improv music they absorbed growing up in New Orleans, whether it be jazz, soul, funk, or rock. This is their self-titled debut, originally released in 2000, back in print for a limited time on purple vinyl.
