This Pill Dispenser will prompt people and dispense medication up to 28 times per day. For people who have difficulty remembering to take their medication on time or who have difficulty identifying the correct medication to take. It can be easily filled and programmed by a user, relative, carer or pharmacist. At the pre-programmed time the internal cassette rotates, the alarm signal is heard (continuous for up to one hour or until the pills are dispensed), a light flashes (for the hearing impaired) and the appropriate pills come into view. For those who have a larger amount of pills to take at the same time, two compartments can be programmed to alarm at the same time. To stop the alarm and dispense the pills simply tilt the dispenser allowing the pills to fall into the hand or a suitable container. For people with limited dexterity or weakness of the hand / wrist a Tipper is available. The dispenser is lockable, allowing access only to the medication due to be dispensed and preventing extra medication being taken. Spare trays are available enabling medication to be filled remotely by a carer or pharmacist. It has a one year battery life and a low level indicator when batteries are low.
