This introduction to chickens is part of a series designed to teach young children about farm animals. The series adopts a factual, realistic approach and includes discussion of: how and why the animals are reared; the daily life of the animals; and the life cycle of the featured animal. The series can be used as a resource for supporting the study of life processes and living things at Key Stage 1.
