This special version of the Porsche 935 was extensively modified by a private team for the famous race on the Daytona circuit in the U.S. during the 1980 season. Though maintaining the appearance of the original German automobile, the modifications to the aerodynamics and to the systems were so extensive that the car was not officially considered an evolution of the original vehicle.
