2008 Vinyl pressing reissue includes two bonus tracks. The original Bare Wires was released in 1968. This was Mayall"s most successful album to date, hitting #3 in the UK. A more free form jazz influenced number than any of his previous work, Mayall was experimenting outside the blues format and this album pushed the band in a new direction. Recorded with a 19 year old Mick Taylor (later of the Rolling Stones) on guitar.
