vocals, densely layered guitars, bass, and keyboards. It"s the sort of music that makes it impossible to sulk as your muscles twitch involuntarily into something resembling dancing." -- Flavorpill "Seriously worthy of a good, long listen ... [the] quintet, originally from Sonoma County and now based in San Francisco and Oakland, makes an epic indie racket dusted with the dark, dreamy drone of My Bloody Valentine." -- San Francisco Chronicle "Experimental indie rock at its finest." -- Santa Barbara Independent San Francisco"s The Aimless Never Miss make their debut with a dynamite package of guitar distortion and bittersweet vocals. Led by the enigmatic Jonny Latimer, this guitar-led outfit delivers a heady pop that"s as subtle as a time bomb. Already making big waves on the West Coast, The Aimless Never Miss is ready to spread that success across the nation. What began as a solo project for singer/songwriter Jonny Latimer soon grew into a full-on band with a rotating cast of musicians and songwriters contributing to the mix. After a 2006 relocation to San Francisco, a more consistent lineup emerged, along with a continuing series of successes. Fans of Kevin Shields will not be disappointed; however there is also an accessibility-meets-epic sound reminiscent of Muse, Wolf Parade, and Arcade Fire. Fans of this sound have likely caught the band"s live show, which engages the audience through visuals created by Luke Judd. But despite their live show extras, music is never a secondary thing to the band. Alongside Latimer is a group of seasoned musicians who all make their mark on the distinctive Aimless sound, including artists who have relationships with other Bay Area projects such as Built for the Sea, Ted the Block, Good City Lie Still, and The Rum Diary offshoot Shuteye Unison. The Aimless Never Miss are the first signing to legendary indie label Devil in the Woods since the label re-launched with the establishment of a new co-operative, the Lower Class Revolt. Through free digital compilations, monthly shows, and providing an easy means for bands to produce merchandise, Devil in the Woods and the Lower Class Revolt are seeking to weather the current music industry storm while providing the means for artists to remain innovative and productive.
