Muria, a small-town Ohio diner owner, is having nightmares about women being murdered. At least she thought they were nightmares until she saw one of the women on the news. After seeing one on the news, she starts having visions while she"s awake. She soon discovers she can communicate with the women and their murders through thought. She learns to control her visions and can soon pop in and out of the killer"s head at will. It doesn"t take Muria long to realize that she can"t save the women. So she must stop the man signing his name Scorned on the morbid poems he leaves on his victims. She teams up with cop boyfriend Steve; Kate, a surviving victim; Kate"s boyfriend Stan; Sierra, a victim"s sister, also a cop; and the FBI. She hopes to stop Scorned before he gets to her; her only advantage is she stalks his mind.
