As well as a political and economic overview on each country, data is also held on such topics as: agriculture; labour force; culture; national and international economy; environment; demography; health and education; standard of living; political structure and parties; transport and communication; entry requirements; hotel, car hire and other useful addresses. Information can be accessed in a variety of ways - via icons representing core statistical information, via a world map or via the powerful text retrieval engine. In this way, data can be manipulated and compared graphically, allowing ranking of individual or groups of countries, as well as current and historical comparisons. In addition, the world map enables colour gradings by selected indices, such as standard of living, GNP/GDP or agriculture/industrial production.
