Untimely Demise is a three-piece thrash metal band hailing from the frigid Canadian Prairie city of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Derived from the ashes of their previous tech-punk band of the same name, the current group was formed in April 2006 by brothers Matthew (Lead and Rhythm Guitar & Vocals) and Murray Cuthbertson (Bass) and drummer Scott Cross. The goal since day one was to create original metal music where technical guitar work and a punishing rhythm section was paramount. After sharing stages with modern metal leaders 3 Inches of Blood, Into Eternity, Toxic Holocaust, and many others, the band set out to record an album that truly showcased their skills as songwriters and players - this mission would soon lead the band to Toronto to record with ex-Megadeth /King Diamond/Eidolon lead guitar genius Glen Drover. The end result of the recording session would yield a cutting-edge, solo laden, thrash metal album that still stays true to traditional metal sensibilities and character. After the album was mixed, legendary American thrash/post apocalyptic artist Ed Repka (artists for Megadeth"s Rust In Peace and Peace Sells albums) agreed to create the cover art that would personify the band"s intense sound.
