Terramara"s third release finds the band moving in a new direction. Once described as the second coming of Steely Dan, the group has now fashioned a new album more reminiscent of XTC and the Beatles. Melodic songwriting meets quirky, sonically adventurous production. While retaining much of Terramara"s signature sound: piano-based pop songs with rich vocal harmonies and clever lyrics, this new collection of powerpop gems is more guitar-driven, with a modern rock edge to the production. Dust & Fiction contains a variety of moods and styles, some serious, some playful, but always catchy.
