This book uses about fifty stories of people from diverse backgrounds to illustrate what the author calls the "minority effect." It presents teachers" narratives as they experienced being a minority, and their analyses and insights for teaching diverse learners. This book emphasizes that if not understood and addressed, situational minorities at school or work are unlikely to perform at their highest potentials.
