Vlast" Kak Metafizicheskaia I Istoricheskaia Real"nost"

This study is published by the Institute of Theology and Philosophy. Power is considered in this monograph in several complementary frames of reference: the reality of myth, philosophy, theology, and history of culture. Each of these fields presents its own image of the sovereign. There is a vast typology of sovereigns offered in the book: from the Tsar as pagan priest to dictator and underground ruler (mastermind). The author also contrasts images of their subordinates, slaves, gang members, employees, and studies images of characters who combine the roles of both sovereign and subject: civil or military officer, member of a court, citizen, knight, revolutionary, etc. Bibliographic references.
