Lucilius Alonzo Emery (1840-1920) was an American author. He graduated from Bowdoin College 1861; studied law and in 1863 settled in Ellsworth and from 1869- 1883 he was a law partner of the late Senator Eugene Hale. In 1883 he was appointed associated justice of the Supreme Judicial Court and served as such until 1906. He wrote Concerning Justice (1914).
