Between April and June at Makaibari, the tea bushes "relax" and prepare themselves for the monsoon ahead. It is now that the tiny slow growing leaves and buds are picked for this fine white tea. White tea is famed for its antioxidants and healing properties and is a tea lover"s favourite. It is said to be full of "chi" - Chinese for energy.
