Peste des petits ruminants - also known as goat plague - is posing an increasing threat to food security in Africa and Asia. Because of similarity with other diseases, diagnosis is not always straightforward. This manual aims at making all concerned with the health of small animals aware of this disease and recognize it rapidly when it occurs. The text has been kept at a basic level for use by non-veterinarians and veterinarians alike.
