This novel is a sequel to "A Better World Than This". The book is set in 1947, and Daisy and Joshua have been married for two years and have two children. Conditions are harsh and life is not easy. Just as it seems they may find lasting happiness, Joshua dies and Daisy must go on alone. Marie Joseph also wrote "A Better World Than This".
