When 17 year old Katie Richards volunteered for a week-end job at the local Trail Riding Ranch, she was not to know it would become an integral part of her life. Mike, a fellow volunteer creates chaos in her life when he appears to be a threat to her hard earned position. Her work as assistant to Tom the local Vet, fuels her dream to become a large animal Vet. But when a serious accident involving her Mother occurs, Katie is filled with guilt believing it to be her fault.
