The title Ariels Charm refers to a charm called the Palladox Charm, that allows eleven-year-old Ariel to travel between the worlds of Walhalla and Earth. Ariels parents were both killed in a car crash in Earth world when she was a baby, leaving Ariel an orphan inside a grim, cruel, cold orphanage. At age eleven, this lonely existence was all she had known. But all her young life, something told Ariel that a shift would happen that would change her very unhappy life. One day in the street below her orphanage window, Ariel saw an old man move into a broken-down cottage and she had no idea that he would be the one that would help her travel through a virtual membrane to a new world called Walhallaa place where she truly belonged. Ariel leaves behind a grim, cold existence, and goes to a place of endless possibilities, not the least of which is to find out who she is and what happened to her family.
